This kunt needs to hang

It looks like Gretchen Whitmer is at it again.
Michigan’s Democrat Governor, who has imposed some of the strictestcoronavirus lockdowns in the country, is now reportedly blocking a plan for Ohio State University to possibly save the upcoming college football season, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

“Whitmer is reportedly ‘vehemently opposed to football being played’ at both the college and high school level in Michigan and is blocking the University of Michigan from signing on to be part of a pared-down six-team league put together by Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith. The Michigan Wolverines’ head coach Jim Harbaugh has voiced support for a fall football season, but the decision to join in rests with the school president, who may be hesitant to cross Whitmer.“‘I was also told that one roadblock to the new plan is the fact that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has been vehemently opposed to football being played—at the high school and college level—in the state this fall,’ explained veteran college football writer Jeff Snook.”

After the Big Ten postponed its season earlier this month, Smith gathered other schools, such as University of Iowa, University of Nebraska, and Penn State University, to join and form a season of six teams. Smith needed two more teams for the idea, and the University of Michigan was supposed to be part of that. But Whitmer will apparently not allow it, thus ending the plan.
Sports could be the one distraction to take our minds off of coronavirus. Ironically, they are being denied to us by the same people who have denied us most of our other distractions during this time as well.

"Whitmer said on May 15 that “we can have sports,” but “the way we observe them might look different for a while.” So far, though, she has been reluctant to take the state out of lockdown and has consistently threatened to undo some retractions in the strict regulations she began instituting in March. In some cases, Whitmer has reinstituted her mandates or taken them a step farther."

The Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) canceled fall football throughout the state on Aug. 14. College sports programs at all levels of play have called off fall sports across the state.

I like her. She will gift wrap Michigan for Trump. People in Ohio are already pissed off at the liberal Big10 they want the team to leave the conference.
